technology needs. We were born out of a frustration with the
break-fix approach to IT consulting and feel there are better
relationships to be made by getting to know your business well
enough to suggest improvements and enhancements before things
are broken or by recognizing when your business is outgrowing
your current technology. Computers will fail but we feel that
by getting involved we can help you plan an approach that minimizes
the downtime and hardship these failures can cause. We feel
that keeping computers out of your way so you can focus on your
business is a better approach and makes IDT a better value. |

Some clients prefer the guardian angel approach and therefore opt for arrangements that are nearly hands-off. IDT can remotely monitor and maintain system health with almost no on-site time required. Terminal servers or remote desktop control through the clients existing Internet connection allow us 24x7 access giving our clients the assurance that someone is keeping their systems healthy while they carry out their day-to-day business.

When you have skilled people or an entire department on-staff you can handle normal operations without the need for a full-time consultant. In these cases IDT only jumps in where the IT staff needs extra bolstering for certain tasks or systems. We also work with that staff to be sure that, if they want to, they can handle similar instances in the future and grow less reliant upon the consultant.

Other clients require something more than safety-netting and often have no onsite IT staff. For these businesses IDT is capable of providing an entire IT solution. We can handle anything from a broken keyboard to a new Internet-connected multi-server implementation. We also offer a full breadth of IT resources and experiences, often for less than the cost of a full-time employee. |
